Creative & Brand Development Contributor
Freelance Contractor
myPRIDE365 is a queer hospitality and culture project spanning curated products, editorial storytelling, travel experiences, and live performances and events featuring queer artists and entertainers.
We are seeking a freelance creative contributor to help develop ideas into real products and experiences that can be sold through the myPRIDE365 ecosystem.
This role supports the growth of The Shop and The Stage by helping turn creative concepts into merchandise, collections, and event opportunities.
Responsibilities
The contributor will produce a monthly development brief exploring potential products and event opportunities aligned with the brand.
Assignments typically involve concept development, product exploration, and venue research.
Concept Development
Each month the contributor will develop 1–2 themed concepts aligned with the brand.
Examples might include themes such as:
• Pink is the New Pink
• Gay Witches of Eastwick
• Pride Plaids
For each concept, the contributor will explore ways the theme could translate into sellable merchandise or collections.
Deliverables may include:
• 2–3 product mockups or design concepts
Examples could include:
- apparel designs
- print products
- accessories
- gift box concepts
- Pride or travel merchandise
Design concepts may be created using tools such as Canva, AI image tools, or other design software.
Product Development
The contributor will also explore potential ways to produce the concept through suppliers.
This may include:
• 1–2 Print-on-Demand product options
• 1–2 physical or custom product opportunities
Examples may include:
- POD merchandise
- wholesale products
- custom manufactured items
- curated product bundles
Each opportunity should include:
- supplier or platform
- approximate production cost (if available)
- suggested retail pricing
- short notes explaining why the product fits the concept.
Venue & Experience Development
The contributor will also identify venues that could host live shows or special events.
Each month the contributor will research and contact venues in target cities.
Deliverables include:
• 2–3 hotels with banquet or event space
• 2–3 bars or independent event venues
The contributor should gather basic information including:
- event capacity
- rental pricing or event packages
- catering or menu options (if applicable)
- contact information for future booking
The goal is to identify venues that could realistically host myPRIDE365 shows or events.
Workflow
Each monthly assignment begins with a 30-minute conference call to review the concept, expectations, and overall direction of the development brief.
This call allows time to clarify the vision and ask questions before work begins.
Time Commitment
Assignments are completed remotely on a flexible schedule.
Most development briefs require approximately 5–7 hours of work.
Pay
Compensation is structured per development assignment.
Typical compensation:
$200–$300 per monthly development brief
Assignments are typically commissioned once per month depending on project needs.
Contract Term
This is a short-term freelance contract position.
The role begins as a temporary contributor role, with potential to evolve into a longer-term or expanded position as the project grows.
Ideal Candidate
This role is best suited for a contractor who already works comfortably with creative concept development, design tools, product sourcing, or event and hospitality research.
Contractors should enjoy turning ideas into real products or experiences and be comfortable working independently.
