myPRIDE365 is a queer hospitality and culture project spanning curated products, editorial storytelling, travel experiences, and live performances and events featuring queer artists and entertainers.
We are seeking a freelance writer and content creator to help develop The Collective, the editorial voice of the project, while also creating and scheduling social media content that reflects queer culture, travel, and community life.
Responsibilities
The contributor will produce monthly editorial and social media content that supports the cultural voice of the brand.
Responsibilities include:
• Writing two articles per month for The Collective
• Creating 6–8 social media posts per month
• Developing captions, hashtags, and visual concepts for social media content
• Scheduling posts using the brand’s social media tools
• Preparing social posts based on articles, products, travel content, and events across the myPRIDE365 project
• Identifying cultural, travel, or seasonal topics relevant to the brand
• Pitching article ideas related to queer culture, travel, and live events
Editorial content may explore topics such as:
• queer culture and community spaces
• travel destinations and guides
• pride events and experiences
• creators, performers, and queer businesses
Workflow
Each monthly assignment begins with a 30-minute conference call to review upcoming topics, expectations, and overall direction for the month’s content.
This call allows time to clarify the vision and ask questions before work begins.
Time Commitment
Assignments are completed remotely on a flexible schedule.
Most months require approximately 5–8 hours of work.
Pay
Compensation is structured per deliverable.
Typical rates:
Articles: $40–$60 each
Social media posts: $10–$15 each
A typical month includes two articles and 6–8 social posts, with total monthly compensation generally ranging from $180–$260 depending on output.
Contract Term
This is a short-term freelance contract position.
The role begins as a temporary contributor role, with potential to evolve into a longer-term or expanded position as the project grows.
Portfolio Opportunity
Contributors to The Collective receive byline credit on published articles and may include their work in personal portfolios.
The role offers the opportunity to contribute writing and creative content to an active cultural project focused on queer life, travel, and performance.
